ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been laid by the petitioners seeking direction to the Special Judge for the SC/ST Act cases Villupuram District to accept the surrender of the petitioners in Crime No. 42 of 2020 on the file of the respondent and consider the bail petition on the same day itself.

2. According to the petitioners, they were arrayed as accused in crime No.42 of 2020, for the alleged offences under Sections 341, 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2) IPC and under Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2) (va) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. According to the petitioners, they have not committed the offences put forth against them and on account of the false case alleged against them, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioners are necessitated to seek for necessary directions.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice, I deem it fit to issue the following directions.

(i) The petitioners shall surrender before the Special Judge for the SC/ST Act cases Villupuram District within 10 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

(ii) On the petitioners surrendering before the Special Judge for the SC/ST Act cases Villupuram District and filing the bail application, the Special Judge for the SC/ST Act cases Villupuram District, is directed to consider and dispose of the bail application as expeditiously as possible, preferably on the date of surrender in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
