... Respondent This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking for extension of time to the arbitral tribunal to pronounce the arbitral award.

2. Learned counsel for the applicant seeks 4 months' time for the arbitral tribunal to pronounce the arbitral award.

3. Considering the stage of the proceedings before the arbitral tribunal, learned counsel for the respondent has no objection for allowing this application, provided the arbitration is concluded within four months.

4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that

in case further extension is required, the applicant may be granted liberty to file a fresh application seeking for extension of time. No prejudice would be caused to any party if such a liberty is granted.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court allows the application as prayed for and the arbitral tribunal shall pronounce the arbitral award on or before 30.11.2023. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application in case further extension is required from this Court, subject to the rights given to the respondent to oppose the same. 28.07.2023 rkm ABDUL QUDDHOSE, J.
