O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.
2. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is the father of the detenue, namely, Angela, aged about 21 years. He had filed the Habeas Corpus Petition praying, that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents, to produce the body of Angela, daughter of Paneerselvam, aged about 21years, before this Court and to set her at liberty, forthwith.
3. It has been stated, that the petitioner/the father of the detenue, is an agricultural coolie. The detenue is the eldest daughter. She had studied B.Sc. Nursing course, at St.Xavier Nursing College, Kumbakonam. She had been missing from the month of February, 2015. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint, before the respondents on, 18.04.2015. It has been alleged, that the fourth respondent had abducted the detenue. Since no effective steps had been taken by the respondents 1 to 3, the petitioner had preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition, before this Court.
4. At this stage of the hearing of this Habeas Corpus Petition, the third respondent produced the detenue, before this Court. On enquiry, she had stated that she had married the fourth respondent, on 03.02.2015, and she is living with her husband, in her father-in-law's house, at Ambur. An extract of the Marriage Register, from the Registration Department, had been produced before this Court, showing that the detenue had married the fourth respondent. On enquiry, she had stated that she would wish to live with the fourth respondent, in her matrimonial home, at Ambur. As the detenue is a major, she is permitted to live with her husband, the fourth respondent herein, as per her wish. Since no further orders are necessary, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed, permitting the detenue to live with her husband, in her matrimonial home as per her wish.
