This application has been filed seeking leave to institute the suit in this Court.

2. The suit is one for damages for defamation and for injunction restraining the defendant from spreading false, defamatory and slanderous statements in any social media or other public media. The registered office of the plaintiff is situate at Chennai and the disparaging remarks made by the defendant have been widely published in Chennai. Therefore, according to the applicant, the part of cause of action had arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court.
