This application has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 503 days in filing the written statement.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the said application, it had been stated that the petitioner was hospitalized for Corona and was bedridden and was also not in a position to contact and instruct his counsel regarding the filing of the written statement.

3.In view of the reasons stated, the delay is condoned. The written statement already filed is taken on record. If at all the plaintiff has the benefit of decree, then for these 503 days, if at all interest is granted, one additional per cent of interest shall be granted. On these terms, the present application is allowed.
