(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce detenue, by name Ramya, aged about 22 years, before this Court, and set her at liberty.

The petitioner, claiming himself to be the husband of the detenue, has filed the present habeas corpus petition stating that he had married the detenue, on 8.4.2013, at Sri Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Koil, Minjur, and the said marriage has been registered at the office of the Sub-Registrar, Ponneri, on 8.4.2013.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the second respondent Police had produced the detenue, Ramya, before this Court. On enquiry, the detenue had denied the marriage, said to have taken place with the petitioner herein, on 8.4.2013. She had further stated that she is willing to go with her mother, Manimegalai, who is present in Court.

In such circumstances, as the detenue is a major, this petition is closed making it clear that the detenue is at liberty to go along with her mother, Manimegalai, as per her wish.
