This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to count 50 percentage of service rendered by the petitioner as Double Part Time Vocational Instructor in Auditing and Accountancy for a period from 11.09.1985 to 15.10.1992 on consolidated pay at M.P. U. Higher Secondary School along with the regular service from 16.10.1992 when
the petitioner's service was regularised till the date of retirement i.e. 28.02.2018 for the purpose of pensionary benefits and monthly pension and to grant arrears of pension by sending a revised pension proposal to the Accountant General, Teynampet, Chennai 18. For Petitioner(s):

Mr. L.Gokulraj Government Advocate Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to count 50 percentage of service rendered by the petitioner as Double Part Time Vocational Instructor in Auditing and Accountancy for a period from 11.09.1985 to 15.10.1992 on consolidated pay at M.P. U. Higher Secondary School along with the regular service from 16.10.1992 when the petitioner's service was regularised till the date of retirement i.e. 28.02.2018 for the purpose of pensionary benefits and monthly pension and to grant arrears of pension by sending a revised pension proposal to the Accountant General, Teynampet, Chennai 18."
2. In a similar case, this Court in WP.No.31146 of 2025 dated 22.08.2025 had passed the following order:
"7. In the light of the decisions passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench, it is evidently clear that the petitioner is entitled to count 50% of the service rendered as Single Part time Vocational Instructor before regularization along with regular service for pensionary benefits. A mandamus is therefore issued to the Respondents to count 50% service rendered by the deceased B.Vajjiravelu as Single Part Time Vocational Instructor at Islamiah Boys Higher Secondary School, Pernampet, Vellore District for a period from 03.10.1979 to 31.03.1990 along with regular service as Vocational Instructor from 01.04.1990 when he was regularized to 28.02.2010 when he retired from service for the purpose of pensionary benefits as well as family pension and to grant arrears of pension and pensionary benefits within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs."
3. The above order squarely applies to the facts of the instant case and accordingly, this writ petition is allowed on the same lines of the order passed in WP.No.31146 of 2025 dated 22.08.2025. No costs. 19-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order KAN
