Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to strictly implement 4% reservation quota for the disabled and accordingly, compute and fill up all the backlog vacancies of teaching faculty in the aided private educational institutions in the State of Tamil Nadu. (Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) None appears for the petitioners. We have heard Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. The petitioners seek a direction to implement 4% reservation quota for the disabled.

3. A status report is filed by the third respondent. As per the status report, the respondents are following 4% reservation policy for the disabled after 18.04.2017 and earlier, 3% reservation for persons with disability was followed from 07.02.1996 to 18.04.2017.

4. In the light of that, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.26187 and 26190 of 2019 are closed.
