ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue namely, Periyanayagi, W/o.Elavarasan, aged about 26 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's daughter, who was aged about twenty six years, went missing on 17.11.2020, in connection with which, a case in Porto Novo Police Station Crime No.865 of 2020 for woman missing, was registered; during the course of investigation, the police secured the detenue and produced before the District Munsif-cumhttps://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Judicial Magistrate, Parangipettai, on 16.12.2020; thereafter, unfortunately, she consumed poison and died on 22.12.2020, in connection with which, a case in Crime No.893 of 2020 for the offence under Section 174 Cr.P.C. has been registered. In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
