O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay interest amounts for the belatedly paid Provident Fund, Service Gratuity and Leave salary of the deceased employee to the petitioner at the rate of 6% per annum for 18 months of delayed period in the light of the judgment passed by this Court on 23.10.2024 in W.P.No.30766 of 2024.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was employed with the respondent Transport Corporation on 23.01.1986 and had died while in service on 28.06.2023. However, the terminal benefits have been settled only on 17.04.2025 and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioner's wife has submitted the representation dated 28.05.2025 to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent would fairly admits that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos. 40031, 33742 and 35806 of 2024, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioner along with eligible and admissible amount, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
