This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent to file a final report in Crime No.1421 of 2018 on the file of the second respondent-Police, Chennai, within a stipulated period of time.
2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents states that the complaint in Crime No.1421 of 2018 was investigated and closed as 'mistake of fact'. He further states that RCS notice was served through post to the complainant and report has been submitted before the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai through e-filing on 21.08.2024 vide E-filing No.LTN20220001480C202400228.
3. Since the respondents-Police have completed the investigation, nothing survives for adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition. The petitioner is at liberty to file protest petition and proceed with the matter. 2/4
