This miscellaneous petition has been filed to condone the delay of 172 days in filing the appeal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Though notice was served on the respondent, no one appeared on behalf of the respondent.

3. Considering the submissions made and the reasons stated in the affidavit, this Court is of the view that the delay may be condoned, on payment of cost.

4. Accordingly, the delay is condoned on payment of cost of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) by the petitioner to the Tamilnadu Legal Aid Services Authority, Chennai, on or before 17.10.2024.

5. On payment of cost, the Registry is directed to number the CMA and post it for admission on 18.10.2024, if the same is otherwise in order.

6. If the cost is not paid on or before 17.10.2024, this C.M.P. stands dismissed without further reference to this Court.
