Common Prayer: Writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the impugned letter dated 10.06.2015 bearing file number CB1078440243 and CB1068440239515 respectively passed by the second respondent and to quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner in W.P.25643/16 & in W.P.25644/16 issue a new passport to the petitioner.

C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions are filed by the petitioners, who are husband and wife to quash the impugned order passed by the second respondent and to direct the second respondent to issue a new passport to the petitioners.

2.According to the respondents, the pendency of a criminal case is a bar to issue passport to the petitioners. 3.According to the petitioners, the criminal case ended in acquittal by order dated 02.04.2016. But the learned counsel for the respondents submitted that this acquittal order has not been produced before the authority.
4.Heard both sides.
5.In view of the change in circumstances, the authority concerned shall consider the case of the petitioners afresh and pass fresh orders after giving opportunity to the petitioners within a period of four weeks. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
No costs.
