Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent authorities to repossession of the government lands from the illegal occupants, to restore the Keelkattalai lake and its foreshore and basin areas to its original extent and size as shown in government records and maintain it properly, so that the water flowing into the lake during monsoon continues to be a source of portable water for thousands of residents in the locality.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The concerned authorities have taken action and have found that the pattas are wrongly issued. The notice issued to the 9th respondent however, did not result in their participation where the 9th respondent had an opportunity to put forth his stand.
2. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the 9th respondent, on instructions, states that they would like to assail the order now passed by the respondent authority. They may do so in accordance with law.
3. The writ petition is thus closed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
