Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to premature release the petitioner's father namely P.Sankar, S/o. Ponnusamy, aged
about 52 years, Convict Prisoner, Convict Prisoner No.1018, now lodged and confined at Central Prison, Salem, by considering petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2024 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents for pre-mature release of the petitioner's father namely P.Sankar, S/o. Ponnusamy, aged about 52 years, Convict Prisoner No.1018, now confined at Central Prison, Salem, by considering petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2024 .
2. The petitioner is the daughter of the detenue and she submitted an application seeking pre-mature release.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the application received from the petitioner is under consideration and after securing necessary reports from the authorities concerned, final orders will be passed.
4. In view of the said submission, the first respondent is directed to consider the application, on merits, take a decision and pass final orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
