..Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records from the 2nd respondent and to quash the order dated 28.07.2018, Process Order No.10/Sub Inspector/Ulundurpet/2018 and directing the 2nd respondent to give permission and protection to the cultural programme dance and orchestra to be conducted on 02.08.2018.

This writ petition has been filed to call for the records from the 2nd respondent and to quash the order dated 28.07.2018, Process Order No.10/Sub Inspector/Ulundurpet/2018 and directing the 2nd respondent to give permission and protection to the cultural programme dance and orchestra to be conducted on 02.08.2018.

2. The petitioner sought permission for conducting Adal Padal programme in Sri Mariamman Temple, Pudhur Village, for which the second respondent by the impugned order dated 28.07.2018, has denied the same. Challenging the said order, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Head the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. It is seen that there is a law and order problem in that area and the Deputy Superintendent of Police has invoked Section 30(2) of the Police Act. When there is a likelihood of law and order problem, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to grant permission for conducting such events.

Hence, this petition is dismissed, as being devoid of merits. No costs.
