ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2023 and to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the subject property. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition was purchased by the petitioner's father from one Matheva on 20.08.1978 and the petitioner's father was carrying on agricultural work on the said property. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner approached the 2nd respondent to transfer the patta in his name for the subject property. At that point of time he was informed by the 2nd respondent that the subject property was ordered to be treated as Sarkar Tharisu by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Gopisettipalayam vide Ref.No.2902/1980 dated 26.04.1983. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 18.12.2023 to the 1st respondent seeking to cancel order of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Gopisettipalayam in Ref.No.2902/1980 dated 26.04.1983 and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present writ

petition has been filed.

4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2023 will be considered and the orders will be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner. Such exercise shall be carried out by the 2nd respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
