Respondent Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.6.2016 and thereby direct the respondent to demolish the existing very old quarters which are in dilapidated condition within the jurisdiction of Tambaram Major Municipality and construct a new quarters and allocate the same to the employees of Tambaram Major Municipality by giving preference to the sweepers and other Group 'D' employees.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.A.Rajesh Kanna, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing counsel for the respondent and perused the material documents available on record.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.6.2016.

3. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the light of the above submission made by the learned standing counsel, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.6.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to all necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
