The prayer in the present writ petitions is to quash the impugned awards dated 15.10.2007 in I.D.No.61/2001 and I.D.No.60/2001 respectively, of the Principal Labour Court, Chennai.

When the matters were taken up for hearing on 02.07.2018, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought time for getting instructions and hence, the matters were listed on 13.07.2018. Even on 13.07.2018, there was no representation for the petitioner and the Registry was directed to list the matters under the caption 'for dismissal' on 16.07.2018. Therefore, the petitions were listed on 16.07.2018.

Today, when the matters are taken up for consideration, inspite of the matters being listed under the caption 'for dismissal'. there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, these Writ Petitions are dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
