ORDER

The wife, who is the respondent in HMOP No.653 of 2024 pending on the file of Sub Court, Poonamallee is the petitioner herein, seeking transfer of the said proceedings to Family Court, Thanjavur.

2. Despite service of notice, the respondent/husband has neither chosen to appear in person nor through counsel. Therefore, I have proceeded to hear the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is residing at Thiruvarur and she finds it difficult to travel from Thiruvarur to Poonamallee to attend the proceedings initiated by the respondent/husband in HMOP No.653 of 2024 and therefore, she seeks for transfer request.

4. I have gone through the affidavit filed in support of the transfer petition. I am satisfied that the petitioner has made out a good ground for transfer of case. In view of the above, Tr.C.M.P.No.568 of 2025 is allowed and HMOP No.653 of 2024 is withdrawn from the file of Sub Court, Poonamallee and transferred to Family Court, Thanjavur.

5. The Sub Court, Poonamallee is directed to transfer the entire records relating to HMOP No.653 of 2024 to Family Court, Thanjavur forthwith. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26.08.2025 Index: Yes/No Website:yes/no Speaking Order/Non-speaking Order sr To
