This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to commence the trial in a case in Crime No.2224 of 2014 and speedy disposal of the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. Mr.C.Lakshmanan, Inspector of Police, S.11 Tambaram Police Station is present today.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Crime No.2224 of 2014 was completed and the case has been closed as mistake of fact, and the closure report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram, who has accepted the same on 06.12.2014.
