ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioners for licence to run a vegetable shop under the Tamil Nadu Specified Commodities Act, 1996.

2. According to the petitioners, the shop, bearing J-40, possessed by the petitioners in the name and style of "Sri Moogambiga Traders" was originally allotted in favour of the second respondent and thereafter, the petitioners were inducted as tenant. However, since there is a dispute between the parties, the petitioners submitted application for licence, but, the said application is still pending consideration.

3. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to issue to the notice to the petitioners and the second respondent, and pass orders after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to them in accordance with Tamil Nadu Specified Commodities Act, 1996, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. W.M.P.No.23369 of 2024 is closed.
