ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the Respondent No.3 is dispensed with.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent / Thasildar Tambaram Taluk to measure the land comprised in S.No.1/4A2 of Chitlapakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpet district, and direct 2nd respondent to record the Surveyor Report to remove the seal and notice board in the said site.

Though the writ petition was filed for the aforesaid prayer, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that they would confine their prayer only to measure the land comprised in S.No.1/4A2 situated at Chitlapakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpet district, as agreed in their summon dated 02.05.2025 within a stipulated time and learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect.

On this being pointed out, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the petition dated 09.04.2025 would be considered and measurement would be carried out in the subject property, after issuing notice to the petitioner, third respondent and any other interest parities, and the process would be completed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. In view thereof, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petition dated 09.04.2025 and measure the subject property and 3/6

complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy giving prior notice to the petitioner, third respondent, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
