This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.06.2024, seeking bail in Crime No.355 of 2024 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this is the second application for bail filed by the petitioner/A4. He further submitted that even as per the prosecution, there was no recovery from the petitioner herein and she has been suffering incarceration from 08.06.2024. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner stating that, the petitioner is ready to abide by stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection for granting bail to the petitioner/A4 stating that, the accused were found to be in illegal possession of 1.320 kilograms of ganja. He further submitted that the investigation in this case has almost been completed and even though there was no recovery from the petitioner herein, she is a 'C' category History sheeted rowdy, having 8 previous cases of similar nature, therefore, if she is released on bail, she may abscond and not available for further investigation. 4. The respondent has filed a detailed counter.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and taking note of the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
