Application No.3633 of 2021 in Civil Suit No.281 of 1953 T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.

This application has been filed by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu seeking direction to appoint four members as mentioned in the report as members of the Board of Madras Tamil Mission for a period of five years from 01.05.2021.

2.From the report submitted by the Official Trustee, it is seen that applications were called for by issuing paper publication in 'Times of India' and 'Dinakaran' on 08.08.2021 and eight applications were received by the applicants of whom, five had appeared before the Official Trustee, who were interviewed by the Official Trustee and the Official Trustee has recommended that in his opinion, the following four persons are found fit to be appointed as members of the Board of Madras Tamil Mission, they are, 1.

Mrs.R.Suganthi, No.15, Sivaprakasam Nagar, Thiruvottriyur, Chennai-600 019; and 4.

Thiru Dr.S.Vincent, No.17, Isha Mia Villa, Dr.Abdulkalam Street, Puduppakkam-603 103.

3.From the materials placed before this Court, it is seen that a procedure has been adopted by the Official Trustee by giving wide publicity and thereafter, he has considered the Curriculum Vitae of the candidates and has also interviewed all the candidates and among the five, who had appeared for the interview, four had been selected. Thus, this Court finds that a process has been adopted by the Official Trustee to select the candidates. Accordingly, the report submitted by the Official Trustee is accepted and the above said four candidates shall be appointed as members of the Board of Madras Tamil Mission for a period of five years from 01.05.2021.
