ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the 3rd respondent to enquiry upon the application sent by the petitioner on 21.03.2023 with a direction to pass award of compensation for the petitioner's stolen vehicle Chevrolet Tavera bearing Rg. No. TN 19 AC 6503 covered under valid insurance policy No. 0118823117P116235709 from 12.02.2018 to 11.02.2019. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the petitioner's car bearing Rg. No. TN 19 AC 6503 was stolen, the petitioner made an application for insurance claim before the 3rd respondent on 21.03.2023. However, the 3rd respondent has not considered the said application. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3.Though notice was served and the name of the 3rd respondent is printed in the cause lists, there is no representation on behalf of the 3rd respondent. 4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the application dated 21.03.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
