This petition is filed to condone the delay of 618 days in filing the appeal.

Heard Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the petitioners and Mr.A.M.Packianathan Easter, learned counsel for respondents 2 to 4. Despite notice having been served, none appears for respondent 5.

Having been satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and since there are no serious objections, the delay of 618 days in filing the appeal is condoned. Accordingly, the petition stands ordered.
