Mr.R.Siddarth, Government Counsel in both the writ petitions COMMON ORDER The writ petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the Respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner dated 18.05.2026 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of

Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M. distance from Salem Town Old Bus stand, Salem, Salem district and to consider the same.

2. The petitioners seek for auto rickshaw permit. The petitioner had submitted an application on 18.05.2026 in Form CCPA for the said purpose with the respondent. Since the said application has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner application dated 18.05.2026, as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners application.

4. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners application dated 18.05.2026 seeking for grant of auto rickshaw permit in their favour to operate the vehicle within the radius of 30 kms. From Salem Town old Bus Stand, Salem, Salem District, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
