The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 392 and 397 of IPC in crime No.168 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners along with other accused persons threatened the de-facto complainant with knife and grabbed his money. Hence, the case.

3. There are totally 9 accused, in which the petitioners are arrayed as A8, A9 and A6. The de-facto complainant went to the SBI ATM near Annasalai to deposit Rs.20,00,000/- in his motor bike. At that time, the petitioners attacked the de-facto complainant with knife and snatched away Rs.20,00,000/-. So far Rs.3,12,500/- has been recovered and Rs.16,87,500/- is yet to be recovered.

4. In the daylight, the petitioners along with other accused persons committed very serious offence as against the society. That apart, the petitioners are having two previous cases pending as against them. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners and this criminal original petition is dismissed.
