The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to call for the records of the first respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.111 /A1/E1/2008, dated 23.04.2008 and quash the same and consequently directing the 1st and 3rd respondents herein to appoint the petitioner as in-charge District Educational Officer, Tiruvannamalai, basing on the panel for promotion to the post District Educational Officer, dated 21.02.2008. 2.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer in the Writ petition has become infructuous and he has also made an endorsement to the following effect: "The Writ Petition become infructuous"

In view of the said endorsement, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
