ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to take appropriate action against the 2nd respondent based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2025.

The case of the petitioner is that, the second respondent, who is the husband of the petitioner was working as District Supply Officer. Due to some misunderstanding, they got separated. Meanwhile, the second respondent filed petition for divorce in MOP No.367 of 2019 before the Family Court, Puducherry and the same was dismissed on 27.08.2014. Meanwhile, the second respondent married one Umamaheswari, which is in violation of conduct Rules and attracts penal provision. In this connection, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent dated 24.04.2025 and the same is yet to be considered. Hence the writ petition. 3.

Mr.R.Sasi Kumar, learned Government Advocate for the first respondent would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the first respondent / District Collector to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2025, and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
