ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st Respondent do dispose petitioner representation dated 11.05.2025 and consequently issue directions to the 1st respondent to provide police protection for cleaning and fencing petitioners property.

2. It is seen that the petitioner entered into an agreement for sale dated 24.04.2013 with the 2nd respondent. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent failed to execute the sale deed. While being so, the petitioner lodged a complaint seeking police protection to clean and fence the property. First of all, police protection cannot be granted to a property in rem, and secondly, the petitioner is merely an agreement holder and consequently holds no title or ownership rights over the property. Therefore, the Writ Petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. 17-06-2026 SMA
