This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the second accused in Crime No.17 of 2017 seeking direction to the first respondent viz., The Passport Officer, to renew the petitioner's passport for the period of five years and to give suitable directions to the Indian Embassy, Bahrain.

2. This Criminal Original Petition was filed on 22.07.2019 and it is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that every year the passport of the petitioner has to be renewed and presently her passport is valid up to September 2022.

3. In the light of the abovesaid facts and also in the light of the order passed in Crl.O.P.No.11929 of 2019, wherein the Emigration Officer has reported that they have withdrawn the lookout notice issued against the petitioner, this Court is of the view that there is no purpose in keeping this Criminal Original Petition pending. If there is any difficulty for the petitioner herein to get the passport renewal, she can approach this Court. 3/5
