This petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.183 of 2018, dated 20.03.2018 on the file of respondent.

2. Heard Mr.H.Thameem Ansari, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for State/respondent.

3. The Government has already taken a decision in G.O.(Ms) No.368, dated 04.09.2021 to drop all the cases where action was initiated against persons protesting against NPR, NRC and CAA.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.183 of 2018 on the file of respondent, is quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 04.08.2023 Index : Yes/No Speaking order:Yes/No gm To 2/4
