Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant admission to the petitioner in M.B.B.S degree Course for the academic session 2019-2020 under eminent Sports persons quota based on the marks allotted for achievement in International tournament, National tournament and State Championship in Power Lifting under 43 Kg. Forthwith and pass orders.

Heard the Learned Counsel for the petitioner and the Learned Counsel for the respondents.
2. The petitioner herein contending that though she being a International Medallist in the sports, her candidature was not considered under the sports quota, wherein, less meritorious candidates were accommodated.
3. According to the petitioner, out of 8 candidates short listed for admission under the sport quota, 7 were given M.B.B.S seat and the petitioner was only given B.D.S seat, being the 8th person in the list. Being the International Medal winner, she should have been given more marks.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent, who took notice and he was directed to furnish the mark statements of the candidates selected under the Sport Quota.
5. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that one of the candidates selected under the Sports Quota for M.B.B.S course has not joined the course and therefore, that seat has been allotted to the petitioner and petitioner is likely to join Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli, to undergo the M.B.B.S course for the academic year 2019-2020.
6. In the light of the above facts, nothing survives in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
