ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the person or body of Chinnasamy, S/o.Chinnanan, aged about 68 years, resident of Door No.1201, T.N.H.B. Quarters, Ayyappakkam, Chennai - 600 077, before this Court and set him at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Chinnasamy, aged about 68 years, went missing from 24.07.2021 and thereafter, his whereabouts are not known. 3.

Today M.Bhuvaneswari (Mobile No.94981 16017), Sub-Inspector of Police, T-1, Ambattur Police Station, Chennai, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by Jayakumar, son-in-law of the petitioner, a case in Ambattur Police Station Crime No.1330 of 2021 was registered for 'man missing' on 26.07.2021 and investigation is in progress.

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur, to supervise the investigation in Ambattur Police Station Crime No.1330 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu Chinnasamy, aged about 68 years, is secured, he shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Ambattur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
