Moreover the said survey No.150A/ 1A1D has been recorded without any name and without petitioner knowledge. The Government sketch has wrongly incorporated the said survey number in patta Property. Therefore, it is respectfully requested that survey No.150A/ 1A1B be store in the Government record/sketch. ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2026.
2. The petitioner submits that in the revenue records and Government sketch pertaining to the petitioner's patta property, an erroneous entry has been made by including Survey No. 150A/1A1D instead of the correct Survey No. 150A/1A1B. The said Survey No. 150A/1A1D has been incorporated without any lawful basis, without mentioning the petitioner's name, and without the knowledge or consent of the petitioner. Owing to this inadvertent error, the Government sketch and connected revenue records do not correctly reflect the petitioner's title and possession over the property. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted the representation dated 09.04.2026 requesting the 1st respondent to rectify the revenue records and Government sketch by deleting the wrongly included Survey No. 150A/1A1D and restoring the correct Survey No. 150A/1A1B, thereby ensuring that the records accurately correspond to the petitioner's patta property. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Challenging the inaction on the part of the 1st respondent, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent is the authority competent to dispose of the petitioner's representation.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the 2nd respondent/ Revenue Divisional Officer, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
