Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.616/2018/K3, dated 30.04.2018 and quash the same in so far relates to confiscation of 90 bags of rice and consequently direct the respondent to release the 90 bags of rice each 50 kg seized from Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-29-F-6790 by the District Supply Officer, Coimbatore, Coimbatore District on 06.03.2018 to the petitioner.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.616/2018/K3, dated 30.04.2018 and to quash the same in so far relates to confiscation of 90 bags of rice and consequently direct the respondent to release the 90 bags of rice each 50 kg seized from Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-29-F-6790 by the District Supply Officer, Coimbatore, Coimbatore District on 06.03.2018 to the petitioner.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that as against the impugned order, there is effective appeal remedy available to the petitioner before the Principal District and Sessions Court, Coimbatore. Hence, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, may grant liberty to the petitioner to exhaust the appeal remedy.

3.Considering the limited request now made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to approach the competent Court for appropriate remedy. The period during which the writ petition was pending before this Court is excluded for the purpose of limitation.
4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
