Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for records pertaining to the order passed by the 2nd respondent bearing Seyalmurai Aanai No.240/Mugaam/U.PE./2024, dated 10.07.2024 and to quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct demonstration at the venue 1/4

nearby Thirunavulur Bus stand with microphone pursuant to the petitioner representation dated 09.07.2024.

ORDER

The petitioner herein, under the guise of representing the State Committee Member of Revolutionary Socialist Party has sought for permission from the police to agitate against in action of the police on the complaint given for woman harassment.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submitted that the police has registered the complaint in Crime No.362 of 2024 and out of four accused, one has already been secured.

3. This Court, on perusing the impugned order passed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police dated 10.07.2024 declining the permission to conduct protest is consonance with the law and also finds 2/4

that there is no necessity to interfere with this order, more so, when the compliant has already been registered and under investigation.
