The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of grama natham land owned by him in Old Survey No.93/2, New Survey No.129/9 and 129/10, Periya Neelangarai, Neelangarai, Chennai - 600115.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the above mentioned land and the same is ancestral property. During mutation of revenue records in the year 2009 & 2010, the name of the petitioner was not included in respect of the above mentioned land. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.10.2021 seeking to issue a patta in his name in respect of the above mentioned land. The same has not been considered till date. The last of the representation of the petitioner submitted on 14.06.2024 and 2/4

the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner for issue of patta will be considered on its own merit within the time fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
