O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2020 requesting to register the date of death of petitioner's father and issue death certificate.

2. The petitioner's father died on 10.03.1970 leaving behind the petitioner and other children as legal heirs and the petitioner's mother predeceased her father. In order to make the family arrangements between the petitioner and other legal heirs, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 26.11.2020 to the respondent seeking to register the date of death of her father. But, till date, no steps have been taken by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2020, enquire into the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and persons interested in this regard and by affording them an opportunity of personal hearing or virtual hearing or otherwise, considering their written objections and after verifying the relevant documents, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
