The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.06.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(a) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.324 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an accused in Crime No.324 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(a) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act He further submitted that, petitioner is innocent and she is falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 20.06.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail.

3. In response, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that petitioner was found with possession of 15 litres of illicit arrack on 20.06.2023, at about 07.00 hrs, in the backyard of her house at Veerapandi Village. She has 10 previous cases of similar nature.

4. Considering the nature of the offence alleged against the petitioner and the fact that petitioner has 10 similar previous cases pending, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
