Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent particularly third respondent to survey the land in R.S.No.5/7- Old S.No.53/7 extent of 40 cents, R.S.No.5/8-Old S.No.53/8 extent of 27 cents, R.S.No.5/10Old S.No.53/7 extent of 32 cents, total to the extent of 99 cents Mathura Kazhikuppam, Marakkanam Taluk, based on the representation dated 09.02.2015.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to have purchased lands in R.S.No.5/7 - Old S.No.53/7 admeasuring to an extent of 40 cents, R.S.No.5/8-Old S.No.53/8 admeasuring to an extent of 27 cents, R.S.No.5/10-Old S.No.53/7 admeasuring to an extent of 32 cents, totally admeasuring to an extent of 99 cents in Mathura Kazhikuppam, Marakkanam Taluk through registered sale deed bearing document no.1237/2007 registered on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Marakkanam and also claims to have mutated the revenue records in his name including the patta. The petitioner vide application/ representation dated 09.02.2015 prayed for survey and measurement of the lands by paying the prescribed fees https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that on constitution of the third respondent office, the second respondent has transferred the entire papers to the third respondent office and therefore, prays that appropriate direction may be given to the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation within a stipulated time frame. 4.This Court also heard the submissions of Mr.P.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
5.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/ representation dated 09.02.2015 which are transferred to his file and after putting on notice, the persons concerned, shall pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. 6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
