This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in crime No. 116 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons kidnapped the defacto complainant and detained him in a house and under threat demanded ransom of Rs.50 lakhs. Thereafter, the victim arranged the said amount through his friend and after receipt of Rs.50 lakhs from the friend of the defacto complainant, released him. Hence, the case.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the facts of the case, the petitioner along with other accused person kidnapped the victim and after obtaining Rs.50,00,000/- from the defacto complainant they released the victim. Further, they took

Rs.10,000/-, mobile phone and car key from the victim. As per the prosecution, only Rs.2,24,000/-, 11.56 grams gold and cell phone were recovered from the accused. Further, co-accused are still absconding and the investigation is not yet completed. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 29.07.2024 pbl
