By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to effect free agriculture service connection to petitioner's well situated in S.F.No.51/1B at Aalangkuppam Village, Villupuram District as per petitioner's application dated 28.03.2015 for the load of 3 H.P., based on the report submitted by the 4th respondent board dated 28.12.2018. 3.The petitioner had purchased an agricultural land from one A.Murugavel by way of registered sale deed on 03.03.2015. The said land was originally owned by Aadimulam, father of A.Murugavel. Initially, the said Aadimulam made an application to the 2nd respondent on 06.09.1996 to get free electricity connection.

The authorities concerned sent readiness notice to Aadimulam and directed him to submit the required documents to provide service connection and the same was submitted by him. Immediately thereafter, the said Aadimulam died and the above said land property was purchased by the petitioner herein from the legal heirs of Aadimulam. Though, the petitioner's name has been transferred in the original application made by his vendor, the respondent is yet to give service connection to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction to the respondent to consider his application dated 28.03.2015 and pass orders.

5.The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the free agricultural service connection would be sanction only on the seniority basis.

6.Heard both sides.

7.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 28.03.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law.

8.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
