Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to formulate the necessary directions and guidelines which the Corporation is required to follow while granting licences under Section 319 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 so as to prevent the disposal of dead bodies in the coastal area of Marina Beach giving due consideration to the environmental protection and public health.
