ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been preferred seeking to call for the records relating to Cr. No.356 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.
On the complaint lodged by Sivashankari, the second respondent herein, the first respondent police registered a case in Cr. No.356 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 147,148,448,294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC against Maheshwari and three others, for quashing which, this Criminal Original Petition has been preferred.
Today, Sivashankari, the de facto complainant and Maheshwari, Nithyanantham, Rajamani and Ramamoorthy, the accused, are present before this Court. Further, the parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 06.07.2018, wherein, it has been stated as under:

It is respectfully submitted that the second respondent and the petitioners do not want to pursue their respective complaints against each other and want to give quietus to the issue.
Under such circumstances, the petitioners and second re3spondent are filing this joint compromise memo and pray for quashing Cr. No.356 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent police." In view of the compromise entered into by the parties, as aforesaid, the prosecution in Cr. No.356 of 2016 is quashed on condition that the petitioners pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- each as costs to the credit of the Chief Justice Relief Fund (payable in Accounts Section of the High Court Registry), within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
In fine, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
