O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for directing the second respondent to pay the arrears of pension in view of the revision of pay done based on the 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022, with 12% interest, to the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The petitioners were joined in the first respondent/Corporation as Conductors, Drivers, and Technical Staff. Thereafter, they retired from service in the years 2019 to 2022. While that being so, the 14th wage settlement was arrived at on 24.08.2022, and it was given effect from 01.09.2019. Since they retired before the 14th wage settlement, they are entitled to all benefits, as it was effective from 01.09.2019. However, the petitioners were not paid the arrears of pension in the difference of pension arising out of the 14th wage settlement.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of this case, the second respondent is directed to pay the arrears of pension in view of the revision of pay arising out of the 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022, with applicable interest, to the petitioners within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
