PRAYER : Civil Revision Petitions filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the Sub-Judge, Poonamallee to dispose of the H.M.O.P. No. 747 of 2019 within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Petition is filed seeking direction to the Learned Sub-Judge, Poonamallee to dispose H.M.O.P. No. 747 of 2019 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner filed divorce petition against the Respondent under Section 13(1)(i-a) and (i-b) of the Hindu Marriage Act. The Respondent evaded service of notice from the date of filing of the Petition and appeared only in December 2020 when the matter was referred to Lok Adalat. The matter was not settled in Lok Adalat. Now this Petition is pending for filing Counter from 16.09.2021. Therefore, this Petition.

3. It is not known what is the pendency status of the cases pending in the Sub-Court, Poonamallee. There may be cases filed prior to this case and pending. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to fix any time limit for the disposal of the case. However, this Court directs the Learned Sub-Judge, Poonamallee to expedite the process of completion of pleadings and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.

4. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
