The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.12.2023, within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has sent a representation dated 12.12.2023 for granting revised pension, and such representation is yet to be considered by the second respondent.

3. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to fourth respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time. 2/5

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2023, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, taking into consideration the age of petitioner who is 96 years, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
